As it can be taken up four times within a year, the scope for improvement for those who are not satisfied with their current attempt is very good. Such positives highlight the advantages of this test over other such similar tests.

Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility for this examination is based on two important factors. One is the candidate's educational qualification and the other is the age bar. The best part of MAT examination's eligibility in terms of their educational qualification is that they just should have passed their graduation successfully. The absolute percentage of CGPA of an individual does not matter. They should have finished graduation with a 10+3 years in any field like arts, science, engineering, commerce or so on. Even those candidates in the final year of their graduation can apply, just that they will have to submit their certification of passing their graduation later on. With respect to age limit, the best part is that there is no age limit to take up this examination.

Syllabus and Pattern:
For any examination detailed awareness about the duration and number of questions in total is important. On those lines, MAT examination tests the candidates on 200 questions in total for a maximum duration of 150 minutes. The next important attribute to know is the mark allotment. For each correct answer 1 mark is allotted while for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks would be deducted. The question paper type is fully multiple choice questions and is divided into 5 different modules in total. There is no module wise time limit and hence the candidate has absolute freedom to shift to and fro between modules. This proves the flexibility of the examination strongly. The different modules present in the paper are Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency,Mathematical skills and Indian and Global Environment. Each section will have 40 questions and the maximum attainable total score is 800.
